1999 SHELL WORLD AWARE AWARD FOR TECHNOLOGY

 
The second prototype ranger was displayed in the atrium of the World Bank in Washington DC during an International Forum for Rural Transport Development (IFRTD) exhibition. The Ranger won the World Aware Award for Technology for Development, based on findings from the prototype Ranger’s evaluation period in Zimbabwe
 

2006 ABSA PAN AFRICAN HEALTH AWARD

The Ranger Production Company is proud to have been recognised for its contribution in the healthcare arena. In August 2006, the eRanger Ambulance was the recipient of the prestigious ABSA Pan-African Health Awards for Innovation, Excellence and Sustainability in the Small Business/Non Listed Company category. The Malawi Government Motorcycle Ambulance project (Safe Motherhood Programme) was runner-up in the Public Sector Organisation section.

2006 South African Post Office “Medical Outreach” stamp features an eRanger Ambulance

 
As part of the 2006 Stamp issuing programme the South African Post Office issued a set of stamps on 2 May 2006, celebrating the innovative transport systems used for Medical Outreach in South Africa and the eRanger Motorcycle Ambulance has been chosen to feature on a stamp.
This puts the eRanger Ambulance side by side with some impressive transport solutions, other stamps feature; the Phelophepa Health Care Train, the Pilatus PC12 Fixed Wing (used by the SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service), AS350 “Squirrel” air ambulance and rescue helicopters (used by the SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service), St John ambulance service.
Designed by Hein Botha, the stamps have white backgrounds giving a clean medical look to the stamps. Full details of the stamps and the vehicles represented can be found on the South African Post Office website.
