Rapid response unit

The need for Civic services within informal settlements has been accepted for years. The difficulties in providing ambulance, police and fire services for such areas have also been acknowledged. Developed through collaboration with a large South African fire and rescue group, Fire Raiders, the eRanger emergency response vehicle combines ambulance, police and fire services in one flexible unit. Lightweight and nimble enough to traverse the narrow lanes of an informal settlement, it has the capacity to support large populations all day every day.

The driver operator is trained as a community warden with communication access to the police force and basic equipment for policing.

In addition basic training in first aid allows transport of the sick and injured to clinics and general hospitals, using the rescue stretcher mounted on the sidecar.

Finally Fire Fighting training combined with basic fire and rescue equipment and a specialised foam fire fighting system allows quick response and effective fire management. This system is capable of extinguishing fires and reducing catastrophic fire spread.

The eRanger emergency response vehicle is ideal for first response.
