The Oasis GP-12 has been developed to provide safe potable water from biologically contaminated freshwater sources. Water treatment is carried out through a combination of filtration and ultraviolet treatment. This combination treatment is capable of removing particulates and inactivating pathogens to provide water that is of a safe drinking standard. It has been independently tested and certified by the WRc and has achieved WRc approved status No: PT/252/1105.
The GP-12 is self-contained and simply requires a power source and water source to function. The unit is mounted on a rugged steel frame and enclosed with aluminium panels. Access to service parts is achieved via removable panels, with filter replacement being carried out externally. Operation is via a removable key switch for security and safety, external indicator lamps show unit function. The eRanger unit can be used as a counter top unit in clinics and feeding stations and is very suitable for plumbing into rainwater storage systems and potentially contaminated wells.
Water turbidity is a significant factor in the filtration stage, running costs can be significantly reduced if source water undergoes some form of settlement or pre filtration. The eRanger Oasis GP-12 can use source water of very high turbidity effectively and this does not affect the safety or standards of treated water.
The Power supply required is of 220V AC type and has been designed to be compatible with industry standard industrial plug sockets allowing use of varied generator types and mains power where available. The power requirements of the unit are not large and the unit can be powered via a 12-volt system using an inverter to provide AC power. This allows the eRanger Oasis GP-12 to be used with solar power systems and if required vehicle power systems.
The eRanger Oasis GP-12 is simple to operate. The unit is switched on via a removable key switch. An automated warm up period is initiated and after 5 minutes the unit is ready for function. Water is supplied via a demand pump, which means that simply the outlet tap must be opened for water to flow. This simple operation allows the unit to be used in vulnerable areas and within permanent facilities with ease.
