GIZ Health Project Cameroon

Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbert (GIZ)

GIZ have implemented their Co-operation programme in Cameroon to address local health needs and in particular associated transport issues.

Mike Norman, MD and inventor of the eRanger models and Ian Avery, Development Director, visited Cameroon earlier this year for 2 weeks to assist GIZ with the deployment of 24 eRanger motor cycle ambulances. 3 areas in Cameroon were visited, Yaounde, Douala and Buea where training for 24 riders took place. Training included both rider skills and general maintenance programmes.

We await further information from GIZ about the impact the eRangers are having in addressing local communities health and in particular health transport issues.

We will post further updates as we hear more.
